Welcome to the stars for May 2911.Last month, I spoke about the potentially exhilarating effects of Jupiter and Uranus in Aries – a “revolution of the heart”. This continues until early June, and it’s perfect for starting a whole new chapter. There’s a lot of other celestial activity this month, too.
May 3 – New moon in Taurus: Holy Bull’s Eye! Serious adjustments may need to be made in an important relationship this month. Struggles over assets money, status, or a job are actually about something deeper. Work out your bottom and stick to it. Another theme is defusing emotional intensity in your relationships. Have you given someone too much influence over you? Get everything out in the open (but gently). This paves the way for a major positive shift come September. Right now, it’s best just to aerate the issues.
May 8 to 11 – Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter align with the “Destiny Point”: At this time, you can easily create “luck” in your life via your own personal revolution of the heart. Remind yourself that you are living through an amazing era of transition – Era 2012. No one is bereft of spiritual power or purpose. You have a mission on Earth and that is to live from your heart, day by day, EVERY day. Direct your mind’s attention into your heart chakra. Feel a sense of warmth and peace. This is where you cultivate compassion and love for yourself and others, and from this place, reaching out to others for any type of assistance should have great results. The same goes for offering your goods, services, friendship or love to others. For best results, act before May 16.
May 17 – Full moon in Scorpio: This is celebrated in Asia as the Buddha’s Birthday. It is believed that the veil between the worlds grows thin, making it easier to access the wisdom of the Buddha’s teachings. It’s also an auspicious time to chat with your personal spirit guides and any other favourite god, goddess, angel, saint, Devi or Bodhisattva (or even a super-enlightened spoodle). But on the emotional level, this is a very intense full moon. We’re talking Scorpio here! Remedy? Keep life simple mid-month, watch out for con-artists, and don’t put anyone on a romantic pedestal.
May 22 to 27 – Sun in Gemini challenges Neptune and Chiron in Pisces: These are likely to be the most tedious days of May. You may feel unusually nostalgic, bitter, angry or sad about past events, or unusually sensitive to criticism. If so, don’t argue with the messenger. Go within, and use the alchemical art of visualization to heal old rifts, and make peace with the situation and any other people involved. They don’t need to know you’ve done this; the point is, it’s healing for you. And yes, it works!
Scientific studies show that visualizing something step-by-step in vivid detail activates the same responses in your brain and nervous system as if you really experienced it! If Olympic athletes can benefit from this technique, so can spiritual athletes. (Not an athlete? No problemo. Spiritual snails, wombats and other slow-coaches can benefit too.)
